We hosted the Saitama Sustainable Cities Summit - E-KIZUNA Global Summit - from November 22nd to 24th, 2022. More than 300 people participated on site, including 15 cities in 9 countries worldwide, 22 cities, 50 companies and organizations in Japan.
Under the theme of "Realizing sustainable cities through immediate action," the participants gathered together to exchange ideas and share information on issues that each city and company faces, and their initiatives. I convince we had built bonds and partnerships among participants through the event.
For children who will bear the future, we must cooperate each other to preserve rich natural environment and comfortable living conditions. I wish to realize it so that I held this summit. I expect each city promotes initiatives, synergy between them will be strengthened and the circle of sustainable development will be expanding more and more.
In closing, I would like to express my deep gratitude to the participants and all those involved, including the ICLEI Japan, for their efforts in organizing this event.
