Description:

Dating from the mid-Tenmei period (1781-1788). This stake is 286 cm long and 11.5 cm wide. It shows that the Kii Tokugawa family gave their protection to Sagiyama (“Heron Mountain”), a site in the same Kami-Noda Hoei area as their falconry grounds.
