These artifacts from the Bamba-Omuroyama Archaeological Site were discovered together in pit grave No. 51. The collection includes “Earthenware Vessel with Human Face”, a prefecturally-designated cultural property. In addition to being valuable materials in the chronological research of Jomon-period earthenware, these items provide indispensable insight into the nature and role of specialized pits in Jomon-period settlements. |
