Description:

These artifacts were taken from the ruins of pit dwellings that were destroyed in a fire. As a result, at the time of excavation the houses’ stone tools and earthenware items like jars, pots, and stemmed “takatsuki” trays were unearthed in the same orientation as they had been left during the fire. These ruins provide valuable data on the number of tools kept by a single household of the period.
