Description: |
Kofun period (25-522 CE). These artifacts were excavated from the remains of pit dwelling 4B in the Bessho Archaeological Site. The collection includes a range of Izumi-shiki earthenware vessels in a variety of shapes, including four cooking pots (one damaged), nine stemmed “takatsuki” dishes (three damaged), a cooking pot on an elongated foot, three wide-mouthed vases, three bowls, a raised stand, a shallow bowl, and a steamer pot. |
