Description: |
This collection of regional documents spanning the Edo and Meiji periods (1603-1912) was passed down between village headmen of the late Kaminoda Village. This village was located on “tenryo”, land under the direct control of the shogunate. The documents include items related to “kakishibu” (persimmon tannin dye) and the Ryukoryu school of old martial arts. |
