Description:

This cinerary urn originates from the start of the 10th century, during the Heian period (794–1185). It is affixed with a Sue ware lid with a jewel-shaped handle and once contained cremated human remains.  The urn stands 25.7 cm tall and measures 12.7 cm across its mouth.
