Description: |
These artifacts originate from the last stage of the Jomon period (14,000–1000 BCE). The 97-piece collection includes clay slabs with human faces and an earthenware turtle decorated with three-pronged patterns (“sansamon”), banded cord patterns (“jomon”), and red pigment. The turtle is 24.7 cm long. |
