Description: |
This piece was forged near the end of the Kamakura period (1185-1333) by Osafune Kagemitsu. Measuring 28.3 cm long, it was once used by the military leader Uesugi Kenshin. The phrase “Chichibu Daibosatsu” is engraved into the blade. |
