Description:

  This vigorous muku tree (Aphananthe aspera) had a height of 30 meters, a trunk circumference of 3.5 meters, and a base circumference of 7.75 meters at the time of designation.

The main trunk splits in two about 4.7 meters up from the ground. The pliable branches form a well-proportioned canopy that stretches in all directions.

The tree grows on a plateau. In the past, it served as a local landmark since it was visible from the opposite bank of the Shibakawa River.
