Residence Card

You can receive a Residence Card after completing the procedures at the Immigration Services Bureau and being approved.
The Residence Card shows your name, address, status of residence, and period of stay.It is an important ID in Japan.
If there are any changes or renewals to the information on your Residence Card, you must complete the procedure at the Regional Immigration Services Bureau.

Foreign residents who are 16 years old or older must always carry their Residence Card.
Those under 16 years old do not need to carry it all the time.
